Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach. It combines FDA-approved medications with counseling. This is particularly effective for opioid and alcohol use disorders. MAT eases cravings and withdrawals, lowers relapse risk and improves treatment success.

Addiction Treatment of Maryland offers Suboxone (Buprenorphine / Naloxone) for daily use and Naloxone (Vivitrol) as a monthly injection. We have seen great success with both.
*MAT is only effective when combined with behavioral therapy; therefore, patients must engage in therapy as scheduled.
